Data protection and privacy information

1. Data Protection at a Glance

1.1 General Information

We are pleased about your interest in our website. The protection of your personal data when visiting our homepage has a particularly high priority for the management of SOLOS GmbH. With the following information, we give you an overview of the processing of your personal data by us and your rights under data protection law. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behavior.

If a data subject wishes to use special services of our company via our website, processing of personal data could become necessary. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for such processing, we generally obtain the consent of the data subject. The processing is always carried out in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and in compliance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to SOLOS GmbH.

SOLOS GmbH, as the controller responsible for processing, has implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection possible of personal data processed via this website against loss, destruction, access, alteration or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. This also includes the fact that this page uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

However, absolute protection cannot be guaranteed due to fundamental security gaps in internet-based data transmission.

The controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) GDPR and the applicable country-specific data protection regulations is:

The receipt of e-mails can be disrupted for technical or operational reasons in exceptional cases. Please ensure that time-critical messages are also transmitted by post or via fax. Please bear in mind that communication by e-mail is fundamentally insecure, as there is a possibility of knowledge and manipulation by third parties. Confidential data should never be transmitted unencrypted by e-mail.

1.3 How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected on the one hand by you communicating it to us. This can be data that you enter in a contact form, for example.

Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. These are mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

1.4 What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior.

1.5 Who receives my data?

Unless otherwise regulated in the detailed descriptions of the offers, those departments within our company that need this data to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or to implement our legitimate interest have access to your data. We will only pass on information about you outside the company if legal or official notification obligations allow or require this, the disclosure is necessary for processing and thus for fulfilling the contract or, at your request, for carrying out pre-contractual measures, we have your consent or we are authorized to provide information.

If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offer, these have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are regularly monitored. Your personal data will be processed on the basis of order processing contracts pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR and we ensure that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR. The categories of recipients in this case are our service provider for website hosting and website management.

1.6 General Notes on the Legal Basis for Data Processing on this Website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 (2) lit. a GDPR, insofar as special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9 (1) GDPR are processed. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing also takes place on the basis of Art. 49 (1) lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your terminal device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing also takes place on the basis of § 25 (1) TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for contract fulfillment or for carrying out pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if this is necessary for fulfilling a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. Data processing can also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Information about the respective legal basis applicable in individual cases is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

1.7 Note on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries

We use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that no level of data protection comparable to that in the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being able to take legal action against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

6.1 Social Media

6.1.1 Legal Basis

Our social media presence serves our public relations work and is intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence possible on the internet. In addition, there is the legitimate interest in answering inquiries from our users and visitors and thus maintaining and promoting customer satisfaction. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).

6.1.2 Controller and Assertion of Rights

When you visit one of our social media presences (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered by this visit. You can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both against us and against the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. against Facebook).

Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we cannot fully influence the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options depend largely on the company policy of the respective provider.

6.1.3 Storage Period

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for their storage ceases to apply, you request us to delete them, you revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage ceases to apply. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data that is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please inform yourself directly with the operators of the social networks (e.g. in their privacy policies, see below). Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them.

Public posts by you on one of our social media presences generally remain in existence indefinitely. Of course, there is the possibility that you delete the post yourself, insofar as this is possible. As already described above, we reserve the right to carry out independent deletion in the case of unlawful or inappropriate posts and content on our presence.

We have no way of influencing the deletion of your data or content by the social media platform operator. The privacy policies of the respective platform operators apply additionally.
